Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program
Comprehensive, collaborative care
Pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) typically starts in the lungs, but often affects the heart’s right ventricle, as well. Managing PVD requires a collaborative approach from experts in both lung and heart health.
Our team includes pulmonologists, cardiovascular medicine specialists, interventional cardiologists, and cardiothoracic surgeons. We offer state-of-the-art diagnostic tests, innovative clinical trials, and the latest medical and surgical treatments, including lung transplantation.
Our approach to pulmonary vascular disease
Specific tests help us evaluate your heart and lung health.
You’ll need these tests before your first visit:
- Pulmonary function test
- Echocardiogram
Other tests you may need include:
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Cardiac stress test
- Lung and chest scans
- Right or left heart catheterization
- Six-minute walk
- Sleep study
We are one of the few programs in the nation offering a specialized approach to the evaluation and treatment of CTEPH. We provide advanced medical, surgical, and minimally invasive treatments to clear blockages and restore heart and lung function.
