Shawn's story

Spaulding Rehabilitation spurs one man's courageous recovery from a stroke

Shawn Harrington of Sandwich, Massachusetts, was 46 when he had a stroke. He was outside preparing his home for an impending snowstorm. When he came inside, his fiancée noticed he was slurring his words and the right side of his face was drooping. Through care he’s received at Spaulding Rehabilitation and the Mass General Brigham network, Shawn Harrington has made incredible progress over the past two years.
