Our minimally invasive gynecologic surgery approach to care
We are world leaders in the most advanced minimally invasive surgical approaches for gynecologic conditions. Our doctors are also researchers who work to improve and develop new techniques that advance the field.
Hysteroscopic procedures
Hysteroscopic procedures treat gynecological problems inside the uterus. Our surgeons insert a thin, lighted tool (hysteroscope) through the vagina and cervix to access the uterus. We perform advanced hysteroscopic procedures to break up scar tissue, perform dilation and curettage (D&C), remove uterine fibroids or polyps, and repair C-section scars (isthmocele).
Laparoscopic procedures
Laparoscopies are video-guided surgeries through small incisions in the belly. Our surgeons may use laparoscopic approaches to perform uterus removal (hysterectomy) and ovary removal (oophorectomy) or treat endometriosis, conditions of the fallopian tubes, fibroids, or cysts.
Robotic procedures
Our surgeons may use a robotic approach with an advanced 3D camera during minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries. Advantages of this method include enhanced precision, control, flexibility, and view for the surgeon.
Minimally invasive surgical treatments for a range of gynecologic conditions
Our surgeons are trained in advanced approaches to gynecologic surgery through the uterus (hysteroscopic), belly (laparoscopic), or vagina, as well as robotic approaches. We treat common conditions and partner with experts from across our healthcare system to provide a multidisciplinary treatment approach for the most complex conditions.
