A Model System for traumatic brain injuries
Spaulding is designated a Traumatic Brain Injury Model System (TBIMS) by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR). As one of 16 TBIMS sites across the U.S., we collaborate with other hospitals to improve patient care, participate in independent and collaborative research, and provide continuing education to healthcare professionals.
Comprehensive rehabilitation service

We offer care in:

  • Hospital inpatient settings
  • Long-term acute care (LTAC)
  • Skilled nursing facilities (SNF)
  • Outpatient settings

Inpatient and LTAC are for patients who have severe or complex brain injury. For patients with less severe injuries or who are progressing in recovery, we provide SNF and outpatient care to continue to support your independence.
