Neurocritical Care Program
We serve patients with serious brain and nervous system conditions, and provide individualized, expert and compassionate care. We specialize in treating patients with acute brain injury across the continuum of care.
24/7 neurocritical care for complex neurologic illness
We provide expert, compassionate care for patients with serious neurologic injuries and conditions. Our multidisciplinary team works together around the clock in dedicated neuroscience intensive care units to tailor care to each patient’s unique needs. We combine advanced monitoring, state-of-the-art technology, and coordinated recovery support — from acute ICU treatment to follow-up in recovery clinics — so families feel supported at every step of the care journey.

Our approach to neurocritical care
We provide expert, coordinated neurocritical care using advanced monitoring, multidisciplinary expertise, and early recovery planning to support patients with neurologic illness.
Neurological intensive care
In our neuroscience intensive care units, patients receive individualized, multidisciplinary care for serious neurologic conditions. We use advanced monitoring to guide care around the clock.
Care is led by board-certified neurointensivists and neurosurgeons and supported by a dedicated team that includes nurses, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and social workers.
Diagnostic neuromonitoring
We tailor neuromonitoring to the patient using the below:
- Exams: Regular neurologic exams to monitor brain function and responsiveness
- Brain activity, pressure, and oxygenation: Continuous monitoring to detect seizures, swelling, or reduced blood flow and oxygen delivery
- Imaging: Advanced MRI, CT, and PET scans to assess brain structure, function, and recovery
- Multidisciplinary care: Coordinated input from specialists across disciplines to address complex, whole-body effects of neurologic illness
Related conditions
Our neurocritical care teams treat life-threatening neurologic conditions that require intensive monitoring and specialized expertise. Care is tailored to the severity and complexity of each condition and coordinated across neurology, neurosurgery, and critical care.
