Mass General Brigham’s Women’s Heart Health Program (WHHP) is proud to announce the launch of a groundbreaking national Grand Rounds series: ADVANCES Grand Rounds: Advancing Women’s Heart Health, kicking off in the 2025–2026 academic year. This accredited lecture series is designed to elevate the conversation around cardiovascular care for women, integrating clinical insights, cutting-edge research, and cross-institutional collaboration.
“Our goal with ADVANCES is to regularly convene experts with diverse perspectives and expertise on cardiovascular conditions that occur more commonly (though not exclusively) in women. With a virtual platform that can reach anyone, we can also leverage unique educational formats that foster dialogue to ultimately enable a greater depth of education than more traditional didactic formats. We hope to reach clinicians across the role spectrum and across the nation and world, with the ultimate goal of elevating the care that we all provide to women with cardiovascular disease.” —Amy Sarma, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital
The inaugural session will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5:00–6:00 PM ET via Microsoft Teams.
The ADVANCES series aims to build a vibrant, inclusive community of clinicians, researchers, and educators dedicated to improving cardiovascular outcomes for women. While focusing on diseases more prevalent in women, the series embraces a multidisciplinary approach to education and care. The initiative reflects Mass General Brigham WHHP’s commitment to reshaping how heart health is understood and treated across genders.
The WHHP has assembled a prestigious ADVANCES advisory board featuring leading women’s heart health experts from across the country:
This series is more than a lecture—it's a movement to transform cardiovascular care for women. Let’s advance together.
