The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted vulnerable communities in the greater Boston area. To help address this Mass General Brigham put in place a system-wide COVID-19 Community Health Equity Strategy.

One piece of this strategy was to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 with distribution of multilingual information and care kits. Since early April, Mass General Brigham employees have been producing and distributing these care kits which include masks, soap, hand sanitizer and information on COVID-19 to vulnerable communities throughout the region.

To date, the system has produced 330,000 care kits, over 2.8 million protective masks, 332,000 bars of soap, over 308,000 bottles of hand sanitizer, as well as information to stop the spread of COVID-19 to over 30 cities, towns and community groups.
