More than 1,000 Mass General Brigham Physicians Named to Boston Magazine's 'Top Doctors' List

3 minute read

We are proud to announce that more than 1,000 Mass General Brigham doctors have been selected by Boston magazine for its 2026 "Top Doctors" issue.

The Mass General Brigham physicians acknowledged for their excellence in medical care span many of the hospitals within our system. The unification of our academic departments and creation of our specialty institutes—the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute, Heart and Vascular, and Neuroscience—strengthen the ability of our medical professionals to tailor care to every patient's unique needs.

"We are incredibly proud that over 1,000 Mass General Brigham doctors have been named to this year's 'Top Docs' list—a testament to the world-class care they provide every day across fields like cancer, heart health, and neuroscience," said David F. M. Brown, MD, President, Academic Medical Centers, Mass General Brigham. "By leveraging our position as a global leader in research and academia, our newly launched institutes and integrated departments ensure that we are not just treating diseases, but uniting the best minds in medicine to deliver personalized, high-quality care to our patients in Boston, New England, and around the world."

The physicians are selected from more than 50 different specialties as exemplary leaders in their respective fields. To prepare the annual list, Boston magazine partners with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a health care research group, and invites physicians and medical leadership of leading hospitals to identify highly skilled, exceptional doctors in the region. Castle Connolly's physician-led team of researchers rigorously screens the nominated physicians to select those most highly regarded by their peers.

Doctors from the following Mass General Brigham hospitals were honored this year: Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Mass Eye and Ear, McLean Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Salem Hospital, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
