Mass General Brigham is proud to offer our patients virtual care options.
Virtual urgent care
Mass General Brigham offers convenient, high-quality virtual urgent care services for many health conditions and minor injuries.
Established Mass General Brigham patients can connect through a secure, interactive video visit on their tablet, smart phone, or computer from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m., 7 days a week. This service is for adults and children ages 3 and older. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
Virtual visits for primary and specialty care
Many of our providers are currently offering virtual visits through our online patient portal, Patient Gateway. By participating in a virtual visit, you will be receiving world-class Mass General Brigham care without having to travel to one of our physical locations. A virtual visit with your provider can cover many topics including:
- addressing a new medical concern
- following-up on an existing health condition
- reviewing lab, imaging, or test results
- discussing an upcoming procedure or surgery
Be sure to check-in with your provider to see if they offer virtual visits through Patient Gateway. If you are located outside of Massachusetts, please check with your provider to verify if virtual visits are available to you.
Participating in a virtual visit is simple and easy. You can see your provider over Zoom via your Patient Gateway account through a secure, interactive video visit on a tablet, smart phone, or computer with a webcam. If you don’t have the necessary equipment, software, or computer skills, you can also connect directly on your smartphone. Our tech support teams are standing by to help you get started.
Virtual visits are NOT for medical emergencies. For medical emergencies, please call 9-1-1.
Online Second Opinions
We know how important your health is to you. If you or your doctor would like greater certainty about your diagnosis or treatment plan, Online Second Opinions is here to help.
Through online second opinions, you and your doctor have access to Mass General Brigham physicians, many of whom are affiliated with Harvard Medical School, without having to travel for an appointment.
We work with you and your doctor treating your condition to collect the information and complete the second opinion process.
