Kate Beriont manages industry collaborations and IP licensing for the Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT and Harvard. Prior to joining Mass General Brigham, Kate was a Senior Licensing Associate at MIT, where she spent three years supporting the commercialization of the university’s intellectual property.
She earned her Master of Science in Engineering, Science, & Technology Entrepreneurship and her Bachelor of Science in Science-Business from the University of Notre Dame. As part of her master’s capstone project, Kate contributed to the development of a university spin-out founded on a patented gene signature capable of stratifying colon cancer tumors into subtypes with distinct biological features. She was also a pitcher for the varsity softball team during her time as an undergraduate student.
