Graduate Medical Education Office
The Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) serves to optimize the quality of the education and learning environment for residents and clinical fellows by:
- Partnering with institutional leaders to optimize the approach, infrastructure, and support for trainees and their programs, including program leadership
- Providing core educational programming through workshops and retreats for trainees, program directors, and program staff
- Implementing strategic initiatives to enhance educational quality and support trainees’ career development, such as the Mass General Brigham Centers of Expertise for residents and fellows
- Supporting GME program improvement through program reviews, accreditation-related activities, and the involvement of Education Specialists
- Addressing issues related to resident and fellow quality of life, directly and via support of the Mass General Brigham Resident/Fellow Well-Being Council
- Supporting the work of Mass General Brigham and hospital-based GME committees
- Providing forums for communication with internal constituencies and serving as the liaison to national organizations
