5th Annual Mass General Brigham Athletic Training Conference

Field to Table and Back: The Life Cycle of Athletic Injuries

The conference will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Mass General Brigham Assembly Row in Somerville, Massachusetts. The event is intended for athletic trainers, athletic directors, nurses, and physical therapists.

Conference description

This year join us as we explore the complete journey of sports medicine injuries from the moment they occur on the field to successful return to play. We will focus on case studies and highlight the essential roles of each member of the sports medicine team throughout every phase of injury management. Attendees will hear directly from athletic trainers, physical therapists, and physicians who collaborate daily to create a seamless and effective healing environment.

Accreditation

Board of Certification, Inc approved CE provider for the athletic trainer

Certified Athletic Trainers: Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine (BOC AP# P8644) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. Course CEUs are still being determined and will be finalized in the coming months. Athletic Trainers should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Physical Therapists: Spaulding Rehabilitation is recognized as APTA MA Approved Provider. Information provided should be used within the scope of practice. Even though, APTA MA approval process is in line with criteria for most other states, APTA MA cannot guarantee CEU/CCP approval for use in other states/disciplines, and it is the responsibility of the course attendee to verify approval within their own state. Course CEUs are still being determined and will be finalized in the coming months.

In support of improving patient care, MGH Institute of Health Professions is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians:  Course CEUs are still being determined and will be finalized in the coming months. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.

Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by ACCME.

Nurses: Course CEUs are still being determined and will be finalized in the coming months.

Nurse Practitioners: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) accepts credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME and ANCC.
